The taste of heritage raspberry fruit is sweet but not overbearing. Their dark red color add flair to the garden. In an effort to keep our raspberry plants under control we stake them up. This also makes it easier to harvest them. We have found the fruit to be very tasty. We have made jam out of our berries as well as freezing them and of course, eating them fresh, right off of the canes! August 21, 2010.
